Loading/Unloading Car Riders
In order to ensure the safety of the students, all car riders should load/unload in the front area of the building. The parking lot located nearest the cafeteria is not to be considered a loading/unloading zone. The bus area in the rear of the building is for faculty and staff parking and buses only.
Each morning, students should be prepared to exit their vehicle (inside lane only) as quickly and safely as possible. This will aid in keeping the traffic flowing. Between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m., all students should unload in front of the cafeteria. After 7:45 a.m. students may unload in front of the cafeteria or the kindergarten area (whichever is closest to his/her classroom). Parents/guardians who need to come into the building
are asked to park in the designated parking places, not at the curb, and enter through the front office.
In the afternoons, students in grades 3-5 are picked up at the kindergarten area while students in grades 4K-2 are picked up in front of the cafeteria. All students who are car riders are to be picked up in these areas only. All vehicles picking up students at dismissal must have an identification tag. In order to avoid interfering with traffic, please refrain from parking in these areas. The parking lot beside the cafeteria is available for those who need to come into the building; not for pick up or drop off.
