Arts, Music, and Enrichment (AME) Mini-Camp Opportunity for 1st-7th Grade Students - March 21 and March 22
SDPC and the Holly Springs Center are partnering to offer special Arts, Music, and Enrichment mini-camps Monday and Tuesday, March 21 and March 22. There is no school on these days for Pickens County students. We invite you to participate in this unique opportunity. Space is limited so register soon!
These Arts, Music, and Enrichment Camps will be held at The Holly Springs Center, 120 Holly Springs School Rd. in Pickens. The camps are open to ALL SDPC students in 1st - 7th grades and will be FREE of Charge to these students. Each student may come to only one of the two days. During the day, campers will be in a group with other children their ages and will always have an adult counselor with them. Each will attend five Exploratory Classes, including Jug Band (playing spoons, kazoos, and other unique instruments), Appalachian Dance (square dance, clogging), Pottery, Native American Workshop, and Nature Studies. Each camper will have a snack in addition to a FREE lunch, or the camper may bring his or her own lunch.
Camp will run 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM, but Extended Care will be provided for a fee. Parents will need to provide their own transportation. Campers will also receive a free T-shirt.
Campers will be chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis so please email/send the registration info to Pauline Blackston or Betty McDaniel very soon as we have a limited number of spaces. If you have questions or concerns, contact Pauline at blackspm1@outlook.com or Betty at 864-878-4257.
