Students can vote for their favorite pumpkin by dropping COINS OR DOLLARS into the corresponding voting container! 💙💜 NEW! You can also vote using Venmo! Just scan the QR code on the flyer! On Friday, October 2, 5th grade will sell iced mochas in the car line as a fundraiser for field trips and events. If you would like to purchase one, the cost is $5 per iced mocha, and you can pay cash in line, or you can pay with My School Bucks ahead of time.
If you want one in the morning, turn your flashers on as you come through the car line, and someone will assist you.

SDPC is beginning the search for our next superintendent.

Following 13 years of leadership, Superintendent Dr. Danny Merck will conclude his service at the end of the 2026–2027 school year. With advance planning, the Board of Trustees is beginning the search process now to support a thoughtful and seamless transition.

The search will be guided by our Innovate ’28 Strategic Plan and shaped by input from the people who know and care about SDPC — our students, employees, families, and Pickens County community.

🗣️ Your voice matters.

The Board of Trustees, in partnership with the South Carolina School Boards Association, is gathering community input to help identify the qualities, experience, and leadership priorities that should guide the search for SDPC’s next superintendent.
